HCA School Update

Children doing homework

Friends and Families of HCA, We are saddened to inform you that Heritage Classical Academy’s charter request for the 2022-2023 school year, although recommended for approval by the commissioner of education and the Texas Education Agency, has been denied by the Texas State Board of Education.

Our team adamantly believes in school choice, for giving students who have no choice an option for tuition-free, quality education. These beliefs we will always hold true. We will be gathering together in the coming weeks to discuss what’s next. Rest assured, once we know, you will also know.

HCA couldn’t have come this far without you, and we thank each of you for supporting our work to-date. Because of your voices, we closed the margin and had a very close vote. Your voice remains your strongest attribute to school choice for your family. If you are as saddened by this news as we are, let your voice be heard. Contact your local and state elected officials and let them know you support school choice in your community. We are stronger together, and your voice matters.

Thank you, again, for all your support.
