2026–2027 Enrollment at Heritage Classical Academy

Enrollment season is here, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome new and returning families to Heritage Classical Academy for the 2026–2027 school year! Below you’ll find all the key dates, details, and answers you need as we prepare for another year of learning rooted in wisdom, virtue and purpose.

Next year, HCA will serve Kindergarten, 1st Grade, and 2nd Grade, continuing our steady growth by one grade level each year until we reach 8th grade.



Key Dates At-a-Glance


  • NEW Family Enrollment: Saturday, November 1, 2025 – Saturday, January 31, 2026 All applications submitted during this period will be included in the open enrollment lottery on Monday, February 2, 2026.

  • RETURNING Family Re-Enrollment: Thursday, January 1 – Saturday, January 31, 2026 Current HCA families are guaranteed placement for next year but must complete re-enrollment during this window to confirm their spot.


1. Enrollment for New Families (November 1–January 31)

Enrollment for new families runs Saturday, November 1 through Saturday, January 31. During this time, families may submit an application for the 2026–2027 school year through our online enrollment page.

It’s important to note that enrollment is not first come, first served. All applications received during the open enrollment period are treated equally and entered into a lottery process if the number of applicants exceeds available seats.

How the Lottery Works

On Monday, February 2, 2026, HCA will hold a random, computerized lottery to determine student placement and waitlist order. Families will be notified following the lottery about their child’s status—whether they have been offered a seat or placed on the waitlist.

If your child is offered a seat, you’ll have a set amount of time to confirm acceptance and complete additional registration steps.

2. Re-Enrollment for Current Families (January 1–January 31, 2026)

We love seeing our students continue to grow within our classical community! Current families will complete re-enrollment between Thursday, January 1 and Saturday, January 31, 2026.

Because our existing families are automatically guaranteed a seat, re-enrollment simply confirms your child’s placement for the upcoming year. More details and instructions will be shared directly with families as we get closer to the January window. (Find answers to sibling questions below, under common questions.)


3. There’s Still Time to Join Us This School Year!


If you have a child in Kindergarten this year, there’s still an opportunity to join us for the current 2025–2026 school year.

This is a wonderful way to experience our nurturing classrooms, time-tested curriculum, and rich learning environment firsthand, and before next year’s enrollment begins.


Common Questions

  • Is enrollment first come, first served? No. All new family applications submitted between November 1 and January 31 are entered into the same pool for the February 2 lottery.

  • What happens if I apply after January 31? Applications submitted after January 31 will be placed on the waitlist in the order they are received.

  • Can siblings of current students apply? Yes! Families with rising siblings will need to complete both the new student enrollment application during the November 1–January 31 window and the re-enrollment form for their existing student during the January 1–January 31 window. Sibling applicants receive enrollment preference as outlined in our charter policy, but an application must still be submitted for each new child.


  • What will I need to enroll/enter the lottery? When new family enrollment opens on November 1, families will complete a simple online application for each student they wish to enroll. You’ll need basic information such as your child’s name, date of birth, current grade level, and your household contact details.

If your child is offered a seat when the lottery runs on February 2, you’ll then complete full, enrollment which includes:

  • Proof of residency (such as a utility bill or lease agreement)

  • A copy of your child’s birth certificate

  • Immunization records

  • Parent or guardian identification

  • Driver’s License

Detailed instructions and secure document upload links will be provided once placement is confirmed.


  • When will I know if my child was accepted? Families will be notified on February 2, 2026.
