Gabriel Michalak

Gabriel Michalak is the founding head of school of Heritage Classical Academy. He earned both a bachelor's degree in history and a master's degree in the art of teaching from the University of Dallas. Mr. Michalak fell in love with classical education through his experience as a fourth-grade teacher. In this role, he was committed to helping each child succeed through deliberate instruction, relationship-building, and an emphasis on virtue. He continued his classical education journey by serving as the dean of students at a classical charter school in North Texas, where he played an instrumental role in the moral formation of elementary age students and the preservation of a healthy and positive school-wide culture. Mr. Michalak believes that a truly classical education is a partnership between home and school and looks forward to working closely with our families to ensure that each child reaches their full potential.

Outside of school, Mr. Michalak enjoys reading old books, spending time outdoors, and trying new foods with his wife, Phoebe. He is delighted to guide the students of Heritage Classical Academy in their daily pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty in our inaugural year and beyond.
